Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 June 2026
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on EAN Studio and how you can manage them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device on later visits and to keep preferences such as your login session. In addition to cookies as such, EAN Studio also uses localStorage — a local browser storage mechanism that works in a similar way but is not sent to the server with every request.
2. Cookies we use
| Name / Prefix | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
__clerk_*__session |
Clerk, Inc. | Essential | Keep the authenticated login session. Without this cookie you cannot access your account. | Session / 1 year (remember me) |
__lemon_*lsCart |
Lemon Squeezy | Essential | Manage the cart and checkout session during the subscription process. Active only during checkout. | Session |
ean-studio-* (localStorage) |
EAN Studio | Functional | Store your products and catalog preferences locally, kept only in your browser. On paid plans, layouts are securely synced to our servers — see the Privacy Policy. | Persistent (until you clear your browser data) |
ph_*__ph_opt_in_out_* |
PostHog (EU host) | Analytics | Usage statistics (web and product analytics) to improve the service. Non-essential cookies, enabled only after your consent. | Up to 1 year |
We use PostHog for usage statistics (web and product analytics), to understand how the service is used and what to improve. These cookies are not essential and are therefore only enabled after your consent, given through the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can accept or decline, and change your choice at any time. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not share data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Legal basis
Essential cookies (login and checkout sessions) are strictly necessary to provide the service and do not require consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. Functional local storage is necessary for the features you actively request. Analytics cookies (PostHog) are not strictly necessary and are used only on the basis of your consent (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive), which you may withdraw at any time.
4. How to manage or delete cookies
You can control and delete cookies in your browser settings:
Note: blocking essential cookies will prevent login and access to your account.
You can review or change your choice about analytics cookies at any time:
5. Changes to this Policy
Any change will be published on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated by email to users with an active account.
