Since January 2026, you label your own FBA units (US)

Amazon ended its US prep and item-labeling service on 1 January 2026. New FBA shipments must now arrive fully labeled, so sellers either pay a prep center — around $0.40–0.70 per unit, every time — or print the labels themselves. A flat monthly plan pays for itself after roughly ten units a month.

What a valid FNSKU label needs

Four things on one label: the FNSKU as a Code 128 barcode, the FNSKU in human-readable text below it, the product title, and the item condition (for example, “New”). You bring the FNSKU that Amazon issued in Seller Central; EAN Studio builds the label around it.

How it works

Import your products from Excel — or type them in — then drop the FNSKU, title and condition onto a ready-made label, set the quantity (50, 500, 5000) and print. Thermal roll (80×50, 100×80 mm) or a standard label sheet; your choice.

Built-in minimum-size check. Every generator and the editor check your barcode against the recommended minimum size for its format — for example, GS1’s 37 mm minimum width for EAN-13 — and warn you when it’s below that minimum, on every plan (free included). A smaller barcode may still scan, but staying at or above the recommended minimum gives you the best chance of reliable reads. The check only warns; it never blocks, so you stay in control.

Can I generate an FNSKU here?

No — the FNSKU is issued by Amazon in Seller Central. EAN Studio prints the label from a code you already have.

Can I print 500 of the same product?

Yes. Set the quantity and print, on a thermal roll or a label sheet. Available on the Starter plan.

Does it work with thermal printers (Zebra / Dymo)?

Yes — common thermal-roll sizes are built in.

Will my label actually scan?

EAN Studio warns you whenever a barcode is below the recommended minimum size, so you can enlarge it before printing. Meeting the minimum gives the best chance of reliable scanning across scanners — no tool can promise 100%, but you won’t print something under-sized without knowing.

Is it free?

Generating and verifying barcodes is free. Designing and printing labels — with your logo, saved templates and any quantity — is on the Starter plan.
